At Little Sunshines Agency we are very strict and we do not enlist all candidates that come our way. In fact we only generally enlist an average of 30% of the candidates that come for interviews, as many candidates do not pass our agency interview process.
In terms of the agency interview process and enlisting candidates with our agency, ALL our candidates have met the following Agency Requirements:
- They have a clear criminal record
- Their references have been checked
- They have their own roadworthy vehicle with seat belts in the back and airbags
- They have a valid drivers license
- They have been driving for AT LEAST 1 year (most candidates more than that)
- They have passed Grade 12
- They have passed our in-depth face-to-face interview
- They have passed the agency childcare test
- They have passed the agency first aid test
- They can commit to a position for at least 1 year (or more)
- Based on the psychometric test, their personality characteristics and aptitude are suited to working with children
- They are a non-smoker
- They have committed to doing a first aid course within the first 6 weeks of employment
- They have met the criteria in terms of experience etc. for a position of this nature
- They have shown a keen interest in children and they are caring, loving and nurturing
- They are able to cook basic meals for the children / family
- They are able to provide the required routine and structure
- They are able to organize things and plan schedules
- They are able to assist with homework, revision, projects etc. if the position requires it
